Athlete Development Training
Are you an athlete looking to improve your speed?
TFA offers training in the following areas:
TECHNIQUE WORK:
Technical days will consist of drills that emphasize proper arm swing, body posture, knee drive and foot placement which will optimize athlete performance. We also teach hurdle technique for high hurdles and 400m hurdles as well as technique for utilizing starting blocks.
SPEED/SPEED ENDURANCE:
Speed workouts consist of distances of 60m or less. Speed endurance workouts include distances between 80m-300m. Training both speed and speed endurance are important for all sprints as the majority of all sprint races require both energy systems (alactic, lactic)
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING:
In the weight room athletes will perform plyometrics and strength training in order to improve explosiveness and strength with correlates to force production on the track. The more force an athlete produces that faster they are.

MON/WED/THURS 5:30PM-6:45PM (Group training)
